Well, then that pharmacist has huge balls. He came back inside the store where the threat was located, nonchalantly walked passed that threat, retrieved another gun, walked right up to said threat, and shot him at point blank range. Either there was no real threat at that point, or that dude is a major badass.

Did anyone watch the South Park clip? C'mon, its funny.

I agree. It's one thing if the guy took 5-6 shots in a row, and took him out, as he deemed him as a threat. But to walk over him like he did, and turning his back to him like he did, indicated the kid was no longer a threat. No doubt it was excessive and IMO beyond the means of protecting yourself from a threat. He should have took the weapons away, and kept a gun draw on him at the most.

On the other hand, 1st degree murder is too harsh. Given that the kid was a lethal threat just seconds earlier, and that the pharmacist was in 'protect & defend my life' mode, just seconds earlier, he wasn't thinking straight and used excessive force. He should be accountable for his actions... But was it murder? Maybe, maybe not, but in the 1st?... I don't think it should have been.

But then again, that's just from my take and what i've read. Obviously the Jury knew more and saw it from a different point of view.

What if he does not finish him off, you now have a low life their with a grudge. Who is to say he does not come back and shoot everyone next time. Just a thought...
