Watch the video and tell me what you think.

Personally, I agree with the verdict. The guy clearly walked right over the kid after he was already shot, grabbed another gun, then came back and stood over him and fired 5 more times. He did all of this in a rather calm manner. Simply walking up and shooting him.

Had he shot several times and killed the guy on his first attempt, self defense seems reasonable. But come on. Coming back and killing the kid after he'd already been shot in the head? Guilty as charged.

I don't understand how people can be outraged over this. Am I missing something here, or are people just generally stupid?

Getting put away for life In prison for doing what he did to me Is a joke! He was threatened, he fought back. A little extreme he was but put yourself In his shoe's. Anyone ever walked In my home pointing a gun at me or family they'd get 100 bullets In their head If my clip held that many.

    What is reasible "fighting back"

I don't know, all I know if some one was breaking into my house I would shoot until they stopped moving.

I guess if he had not walked back, tough call

If someone came in my business waving a gun, I don't really know what I'd do. If I was a juror, he would have walked.

Is he being put away for life?

I just saw the video of him shooting the kid in the head, then chasing the other one out of the store, then nonchalantly walking to get another gun to pump 5 more rounds into kid on the ground in which he had already shot.

The man deserves some jail time.

I can't watch the video, but shooting and killing a robber isn't murder. Shooting and dropping a robber, then returning w another gun to finish them off is murder.

After he is down, you should leave and call police. The guy made an error in judgement, same as the man who kills his wife's boyfriend. Somewhat understandable but murder regardless.

maybe he was having a bad day or trying to send a message to robbers. You rob me I'll shoot you dead, twice.

I would need to know some history like, How many times has he been robbed before? Appears the guy just snapped

This is bullcrap. 1st degree murder is premeditated, thought out, clear mind, killing of a person. Any idiot knows this.

Excessive force when shooting someone who has a gun, is not 1st degree. The robber is dead, what does it matter if I run over him with a car at that point?

Why? Is he a threat to law abiding citizens? Does he need reabilitated? Or is it a waste of my tax paying dollars? I myself would have no issue with this man living beside me and my family

I'm guessing him going back to get the second gun made it premeditated. Why else would he go back to get the gun?

But wasn't the defense arguing that he was already dead?

He did not seem to hold life with much regard. He seemed to take that kids life a bit too easily and calmly.

He stepped over the kid on the ground, walked to the back, got a second gun, then pumped 5 more bullets into the kid, who was no longer a posed threat.

Maybe because the kid that just robbed his store with a gun was still moving around? Where do you draw the line on excessive force? The concealed carry crowd always preaches to shoot until the threat has stopped. If the robber is still moving, is the threat over??

That is what they argued, but I do not know if that was the truth or not.

Did you see him calmly step over the kid? If the kid was still a threat, do you think he would have just stepped over him so calmly?

Why not just remove the kid's gun and hold your gun on him till the police arrive?

No I didn't. You didn't either. The kid isn't on the video at that point.

    Walked by then?

Judging from where he was pointing his gun, he clearly walked within a very close distance from the kid when he went to the back.
