    1. Use of those drones to harass hunters is illegal in all 50 states under hunter harassment laws.
    2. Some states (including IL) expanded those harassment laws to explicitly including use of drones.
    3. The effective range of the drone sold by Peta is 165 feet from the person controlling it. So you're looking at around 55 yards or so. Most hunting on private land takes place further than 55 yards from public access so many folks have nothing to worry about. Should they fly it too far from their location and it crashes on private land they must obtain permission before recovering the device.

IMO there's nothing to worry about right this second, but as technologies change and advance I can see the Peta nutjobs finding more ways to keep an eye on people. However with privacy and harassment laws the way they are I can't imagine it lasting long.

I haven't seen one but if I do I will do my best to eliminate it. Is there a height limit above ground that it would be considered tresspassing or is any air space considered fair game? It almost makes me want to buy air space somehow and then take them to court for tresspassing, spying, peeping, whatever I possibly could.

There are more advanced models that can go for miles, but they cost much more than these.

This is taken directly from Colorados Big Game Book.

    It is illegal to:

    1. Use the internet or other computer assisted remote technology while hunting or fishing. This includes unmanned or remote control drones used to look for wildlife. Hunters and anglers must be physically present in the immediate vicinity while hunting and fishing.

    2. Interfere with hunters. This includes distracting or frightening prey; causing prey to flee by using light or noise; chasing prey on foot or by vehicle; throwing objects; making movements; harassing hunters by using threats or actions; erecting barriers to deny access to hunting areas and intentionally injecting yourself into the line of fire. Violators face prosecution and may have to pay victim's damages and court costs.

I received my book yesterday, I've gotta say that I'm really impressed how Colorado does things. They've put great effort into the DOFW website, etc.

I hope that one of these jackholes harasses me while I'm hunting. I will make it my personal mission to see to it that PETA pays for my hunt. I will press criminal charges, prosecute in court, and spend as much time as I need to in Colorado to make sure a judge gives me some relief.

I also have some friends in the News and other areas that I could contact to make sure I get some coverage.
