While out checking things out today I noticed my persimmons are putting on pretty nice. I planted this stand about nine years ago from seeds I started. I have a bunch of smaller trees all throughout the 70 acres now. This spring I went through this stand of trees and cut out all the red cedar and fertilized with a 21-16-12 with added iron, magnesium and sulfur. I fertilize every other year on production years.

Very nice, Okiebob. Folks underestimate soft mass but deer sure don't.

They wouldn't under estimate its value if they saw the action in a persimmon patch the day after the first hard frost!
