What happens when you treat clothes with Ozone after a treatment of Permethrin. Does it remove the effectiveness? Does it degrade the Permethrin, like several washing do? Anyone know?

I bought scent elimination spray for the first time this last fall and wondered what effect it would have on my permethrin myself. Scent spray stuff probably isn't anything I'll buy again but still wondered.

Ozone DOES reduce the effectiveness of Permethrin treated clothes. Ozone breaks down molecules because of the heavy oxidation that occur. This oxidation reduces/destroys scent molecules as well as other molecules thus rendering Permethrin treated clothing non effective.

I think if you used ozonics the permethrin will still be active. If you put your clothes in a ozone bag or locker it may do what sharpeye says. I have not seen any proof anywhere on this.

Agreed if you are using an Ozonics while hunting. Based on his question, I gathered that he was putting them in a bag or locker after they have been treated with permethrin.

Correct. I was talking about treating them ozonics in a bin after they have been treated. Thanks for all the replies guys!! Now I need to weigh the risk of ticks to scent :( I wish there was a scent less tick repellent.
