Doesn't mean that's not an officer unloading the crossbow indoors and they took a picture of it to show the offenders weapon of choice. Or, maybe they took that picture off the guys Facebook since they went on there to get info of the guy. I just googled crossbow and that picture is not there...unless its pretty deep in it. I'm sure the news place didn't just have that picture laying around just waiting to use it in a story, im sure its related to it. But no, that would discredit your point so of course you want it to be something else.

Yes I did. That was an outstanding point wasnt it? Crossbows for the elderly and handicapped are very well accepted. (as it should be) For the able bodied.................................... Well................. Most states already have a stocked, shoulder fired, with a trigger guard and safety, weapons season.

You should know (but perhaps you didn’t) that that was a humorous poke that the able bodied guy that would actually use a crossbow rather than a real bow. (he might even try to pass himself off as a bowhunter)

Im sorry you wasted so much time on that (the search and that lenghty post). The stock photo owner was listed right under the picture in that news story.

    WIKIPEDIA/WILFRIED WITTKOWSKY

Here it is. Now you can use it for your own road rage story in the future. Too funny

Yes and I wont be a bowhunter. I wont try to pass myself off as a bowhunter. My state does not allow crossbow for everybody for bowhunting, only the elderly and handicapped. I would be using the crossbow during one of the gun seasons and still I wouldnt be a bowhunter nor a gun hunter. I would be a crossbow hunter.

Great question (and based on your prior posts, I would encourage you to keep asking as many questions as possible.)

I am a bowhunter when I am hunting with a bow. You may then want to ask what is a bow for the purposes of hunting. You could look to P&Y or PBS or NABC but it’s a weapon that casts an arrow that is held in one hand while the sting is drawn and held with the other and only through the effort of the person using it and at no time during the draw cycle is the draw weight held fixed. You know, a longbow, recurve and compound.

Not sure where you got that so seeing as how I am a helpful sort, I will set you straight. If I use one of my crossbows during one of my state's gun seasons, I am a crossbow hunter. I cannot use a crossbow during my states bowhuting season as I am not handicapped or elderly (as defined by statute) I would not use one and then try to claim I am a bowhunter. That would be silly and wrong.

This is where i got it............

This is easy. If I could snap my fingers and rid the world of things that once gone would make the world a better place, the list (in no particular order) would be.

    1. Lust
    2. Gluttony
    3. Greed
    4. Sloth
    5. Wrath
    6. Envy
    7. Acedia
    8. Crossbows used for hunting by able bodied hunters (but then I think that getting rid of greed and sloth as listed above would have already cured this scurge)

I can understand how you would get that wrong or misunderstand. My comment about them in the other thread is about the able bodied person that would use a crossbow, not the crossbow itself (mixed with a bit of humor) At no time did I say in that thread I was against crossbows. At no time in this thread did I say I was against crossbows. I did say I have fought for their advancement in my home state. I only hope to take a comical poke at those able bodied guys that would use a crossbow and then try to pass themselves off as bowhunters. I just think that is funny as heck (and a little sad)

Is that a guess or did you ask? He might actually favor you using a real bow. How can we know?

    Genesis 27.3 says

    Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;

    We also know this

“1139 CE --- Pope Innocent II condemns and forbids the use of the crossbow ………………….saying they are "deathly and hateful to God and unfit to be used among Christians."

Criminals are criminals no matter the weapon they use. Far as the Crossbow if it get more people into the hunting sport then I'm all for it. Those whom would use this tool as a weapon, well there's always

Wait were still arguing about crossbows on the internet?

I thought cooler topics evolved in the last 5 years. Like Rage Broadheads. Or "Would you shoot it threads"?
