Clearly they should never have legalized the Dodge Stratus.

I don’t think they did. Since it was not "illegal" to own a Dodge stratos there was need to make it “legal”. Since there was no change in legal vehicles, its not germane to the subject. The new variable is the crossbow legislation which logic dictates an increase in crossbow ownership.

The crossbow they show in the picture is not at all a hunting crossbow. So if that's the one he used to point at the other driver, it can not be due to crossbows being used for hunting. Another thing I see is that his Facebook interests say nothing about the guy being a hunter. Says he's interested in shooting and fishing and archery but hunting. Looks to me like the guy isn't a hunter and the bow is a target bow used for shooting not hunting.

But crabtree, although a "real bow" couldn't be held while driving, your wooden rubberband toothbrush "bow" that you are making could be. Just sayin.

And what happened to you being a "defender of all that is right and good"? Weather you chose to admit it or not, the only reason you started this is because you don't like crossbows. But, crossbows are "right and good". They are right because they hold more then enough power and accuracy to bright down the animals hunted with it and the state decided it was right to use them. And good because again it us powerful and accurate enough to bring down the animals hunted with it, as well as it as brought a who bunch of new people to the sport of bow hunting, helping our sport that we love live the long life that it deserves. So defend them, don't try to make a bad name of them.

You would just be saying incorrectly. Here is why. My bow and other real bows are held in one hand and the string is drawn and held with the other leaving no hands to drive the car. Being a crossbow owner for 30 years (3 diff models over that time frame) I know I can discharge my cocked crossbow with one hand. I can even hang it out the window to do so. That is not possible with a real bow.

This logic is just stupid, there I said it.

So if he pointed gun at someone would we say it was because of CCW law that was passed.

What a liberal move, blame a law because someone acted like a moron.

    Nice

You can't steer your car with your knee? I can go darn far without touching my steering wheel. The biggest issue I would have with my bow in a car is the fact that it is to big to hold and draw. But your sling shot that you are making would be super easy to draw and drive. I think that's a real danger.

Nothing. I have maintained that status for a very long time. Nothing has changed in that regard. We are a dying breed. There are not many of us left any more.

As a crossbow owner for 30 years (3 diff models during that time) I can tell you I do not dislike crossbows. Crossbows are just crossbows, I like all of my crossbows.

There is no universal declaration of the rightness and goodness of a crossbow. I understand you hoped to create that situation typing it just now but …………………….. No.

Huh? I will try my best to translate that. Crossbow have never brought new people into bowhunting. They have only brought people into crossbow hunting. I contend they may have actually reduced the number of bowhunters while increasing the number of crossbow hunters. Bowhunters and crossbow hunters are two very different people based on the weapon they use. When I hunt with a gun I am a gun hunter, when I hunt with a ML, I am a ML hunter, when I hunt with a crossbow, I am a crossbow hunter. When I hunt with a bow I am a bowhunters. “Bowhunter” is a very specific term coined by Roy Case some 7 decades ago. It has a specific meaning related directly to a bow and arrow. That has never changed.

I have gladly and happily defended crossbow hunters. I have even gone so far as to testify in legislative hearings for crossbow hunters to use crossbows for crossbow hunting. I was instrumental in the single largest expansion of crossbow hunting in WI less than one year ago. As the same time, I know what a bowhunter is and what a crossbow hunter is. They will never be confused for one another. There are however a great number of people that are crossbow hunters that incorrectly try to pass themselves off as bowhunters. Their kills are not even recorded together. Crossbowers have their own record book (rightfuly so) Bowhunters have the P&Y record book.

This fall I may opt for a crossbow for any number of WI species. When I do I will not be a bowhunter. Words mean things.

So that means we need to take the term bowhunter down more. I am a compound bowhunter, some are recurve bowhunters and others are longbow hunters. The second half of the word crossbow is bow. It's a bow. Using a string and limbs to propel an arrow. A bow. Plus, in the state of Pennsylvania (the state in question) crossbows are used during bow (or archery) season. Proving even more that its bowhunting when using a crossbow. and may I again point out that it is infact a target crossbow in the picture not a hunting crossbow.

Can we call it arrow hunting so then you couldn't argue that crossbows should be allowed since they both use arrows? :)

Crossbows used for hunting by able bodied hunters (but then I think that getting rid of greed and sloth as listed above would have already cured this scurge)

Now didnt you post this in the thread about what you would get rid of with a snap of your fingers ??

You may wish to rethink that. Not all arrow delivery systems are what you think. :)
