Aluminum, wood, and carbon arrows; testing their performance in accuracy, range, and stopping power (kinetic energy).

Looking for factual information or any insight that can be presented.

Credible cites or information would be great.

Curious to see where this thread goes!

    Observations:

Wood arrows with stone arrowheads fired from relatively low poundage self-bows fed "humans" the world over for many millenniums.
It is possible such arrows are what kept "humans" from going extinct, like the Neanderthal (allegedly) did.

I'd guess such equipment would be just as effective today ... of course the stone arrowheads might not be legal to hunt with in some jurisdictions, and most, if not all locations specify a minimum draw weight of 40 pounds now.

My late step father hunted with aluminum arrows. (Compound Bows and carbon fiber arrows were not invented yet when he archery hunted.)
Generally speaking, he always got his deer ... at least in the years he saw a deer during the hunting season.
