This is the best one I got on cameras so far. Not a giant but I’m pretty sure he would get an arrow if given the chance. Never really see too many big bucks on this farm so he would do just fine for me. Seems like it is property that holds generally the young bucks. I call it the nursery!!

I don’t post pics of my main target bucks I’m after (superstition), but here are a couple nice ones that are on my one prop. E4FAEAF7-AE3B-462B-8E2A-A3F863B7F3BD.png CDB7EC71-4635-4E5F-A3A8-37066868D9C7.png 008E67EE-FD87-4142-A233-D4222ADD7CA2.png F480045B-811F-4F30-963E-8E31973652C5.png

I like the big 6!! Not sure why but he really strikes my fancy. Of course they’re all nice ones.

Unfortunately, a big 6 like that isn't legal bc of antler restrictions where I hunt In PA.

Yep it’s not legal, he’s def a cool deer. I’m sure I’ll run into him at some point, I’ll make sure to get a video if I do and I’ll post it.

So how have the letters you mailed panned out? Are you seeing good activity on the properties you got access to?

How do you like the tac driver vanes? I just fletched my setup this year with the same thing and wraps. I was a little worried about adhesion but have not lost a single one. I’ve been shooting maybe 50 arrows a day for 3 weeks since I did them. Flying well !!

Out of the 150 letters I sent in MD I was able to get permission on two properties, one is 25acres and the other is 13, both have had pretty good activity all summer, I have two cell cameras down there, moved them both this past weekend, the one now doesn’t have very much service and the other just hasn’t been getting any pictures. We’ll see what happens next Friday!

I absolutely love them! Fly great and they are silent. I fletch my own and at first I was having a lot of trouble getting them to have good contact on all corners, but I learned pretty quick and now they are really on there!!!!

When I fletched mine I put pressure on the vane to the shaft for 10 seconds until it set. Thats a tip I got from watching PJ Reily do a video on installing them. Another good tip he had was to use a q-tip to wipe excess glue from edge of vane as soon as you remove the clamp. Worked well to clean up glue that squeezed out.

How do you all typically hunt the beginning of the year? Only hunt evenings or do you hunt mornings as well? I always hunted both, early season mornings have paid off to me 2x so far, nothing crazy but good bucks. I’m after two deer specifically in two different areas, the one has been coming through at 6:45 am at least once a week. Think it’s worth going in super early to try and catch up with em, my only reservation is it’s on 10 acres and I don’t want to booger the spot up.

I have that mentality too, I just never had the chance at a deer or this caliber and Im fortunate enough to have the flexibility to hunt anytime. I’m conflicted haha, I’m prob overthinking it and will just get in there, I’m gonna pull cams this week and hope I get some more intel.
