    Heavier arrows will have more penetration when all other factors are the same, and the tuning is correct. Weight is just one factor though.
    A 405 grain arrow should blow through a deer just fine. I made a complete pass through on a deer at 40 yards with a 373 grain arrow.
    I think people get carried away to a degree. You should shoot what is comfortable and gives you the most confidence. Have a broadhead that is suited to your setup, a tune that is correct, and a realistic shot. That is the perfect setup for a pass through.
