Any advice on strong penetrating arrows and broadheads that can be used for Big game like Grizzly bear and Elk

Guys -- the below link will show my motivation for making sure i have the right impact --this is a black bear that got away from me after I placed the arrow in him at 40 yards.
I used flatliners DOA 400's with 100 grain WASP SST..

Any broadhead that will work on deer will also work on brown bear and elk. However I would stay away from expandables; they're even illegal for brown bear and elk in AK.

As far as arrows, aim for a mid to heavy weight arrow with a medium to high forward of center (FOC) balance. If you want to go to the extreme the Easton FMJ with a brass insert will put you well up into the 500's and maybe even more grains depending on the spine and head you choose.

I'm pushing a 560 grain arrow with something around 15% FOC for brown bear, mtn. goats, bison and everything else other than water and cape buffalo; Easton Axis 300 with 100 grain insert and 125 grain G5 Stryker.

Another thing to consider is the bow HAS to be tuned/matched to the arrow. The arrow has to be flying true when it impacts the target to optimize penetration.

with a brass 50 grain insert if you are shooting between 60-70 #'s use the 340's
my draw lenght is 28.5 and my arrow weighs 434 grains total weight and are about 27 1/2 " long
    they fly flat and straight

What Rob said here. Also a good 2 blade Broadhead could be your friend as well If your worried about penetration on a bigger big game animal.

I'm impressed so far with the penetration of my Victory VAP's. In any type of a target I've shot them into, the penetration is noticeably better than my best bud who has a nearly identical bow setup. He's shooting a Gold Tip 75/95 that is front loaded with brass inserts and 100grain heads that weighs quite a bit more than mine with higher FOC, and I'm shooting the skinny VAP's with the penetrator insert.

I'm getting waaaay better penetration than him in every type of target we shoot at from 3D, blocks, and bags. I actually have to stay away from soft spots on the targets because mine will pass right through where his will penetrate and have half the arrow sticking out the front of the target.

Easton Axis is the toughest arrow I have shot.
NAP Hellrazer or Tru-Fire T1. I just started shooting the T1 and I am impressed.
