Its about time to replace my string and I would like to hear the pros and cons of the two different set-ups. I am currently using the one with the tube going to the cable, but I am getting tired of the tube breaking.

I do not have a tube for a couple of reasons. One they seem to break a lot and easily and two I don't care for the slap noise it makes when I shoot.

Did you guys have any problems lining up the sight housing after switching?

I have a question: I have a brand new Bowtech Guardian and it came with a peep that is set up with a tube. Do I have to purchase a new string in order to put on the new peep sight?

Nope. Should be just a simple swap out of one peep for the other.

I'm shooting a black gander mountain peep. It was 4 bucks, and it seperates the string into 4 parts to tie on, no tube. Great peep.

This is the first time I have shot without a tubed peep site and I love it. I went to the G5 type as well and love it. Its quiet and doesnt really seem to lose any speed.

Go with a loop and a super peep. You can get the different size inserts for it so you can match your sight ring. They also have a hood which is pretty nice.GOOD LUCK!

Lose the tube for sure, shooting tubeless with increase your speed and there is less noise involved.
