Today I noticed my peep has twisted. It seems to be in the same spot up and down but it is not twisting around enough to line up correctly with my sight. When I look through the circle is twisted facing more left. How can I fix this?
Sounds like it could be string stretch. I'm assuming the bow is new since your signature says its a 2011. You should be able to have a pro shop twist the string to line it back up. It's all normal though.
Yes, its 3 weeks old today. My only choice yesterday to have the ripcord for the rest served on was to take it to ****'s Sporting Goods. The Bow Tech had even less of an idea of what he was doing than I did. It took him a good 45 min just to figure out how to get the cables and string to line up in the cam. Then the rip cord was almost sliding out of the cable yesterday, and today after shooting, I noticed the serving he did is already coming undone. This is a job I would have prefered to do myself and it was cheaper to have the Tech do it than to buy the serving string. Could it be out of time after the massacre he did yesterday? I asked him if it needed to be retimed and he said no everything was perfectly fine but I don't trust him at all.
Eh, ****'s Sporting Goods....I don't trust box store archery departments at all. Under normal circumstances I'd say your peep problem was string stretch but after reading about that experience, your string may have lost some twists while he was "working on it". Did he split the cable to tie the cord through it or did he just tie the cord onto the cable? EDIT: What I typically do is put a mark with a sharpie on the limbs where the limbs are, that way I know with a quick look if the cams are off. When I get home this evening I'll take a pic and show you what I mean. It is possible that the "tech" there got something out of whack though.
Yes, he did at least serve the ripcord into the cable. I wasn't keen on going there for my work either, but I didn't wanna drive 40 min to my bow shop for a 5 min...well, what should have been a 5 min job. Now I wish I had made the trip to the shop. Today I also noticed at the top axle where the cable connects on each side of the wheel, it squeaks when I draw back and when I push or pull slightly right near this connection. Anything I can do about that? It wasn't doing it before.
