Alrighgt guys this is what I have decided to do: I am goin to have a custom string made by a guy named Rodney Galloway who owns a company called Strikeforce Strings. He is local and really good and his prices are really resonable. $54.00 a set to be exact. Lets put it this way, a pro staff shooter for a local shop bought a Hoyt Carbon matrix for competition and the first thing he did was have Rodney build his strings and replace the Hoyt string. I am going with neon green and black with a black 1/4" G5 peep and the NAP Apache rest. I am also having him build a custom string for my wifes bow while he is at it. I had a cheap string installed when hers broke and want a good one on hers too. I may even go ahead and replace the sight and give her mine. Great way to get the sight I want right? lol

I would go with the G5 peep.

Good point, I just use my peep to verify that I've got my anchor point right. If it isn't lined up, I know something is wrong. Once I know that I've got the anchor point right, I never look the peep again, I just focus on the target and where the pin is on it.

I've debated about going to a kisser button or something instead but I like having that visual clue that I'm doing something right.

It is really not that difficult to just a kisser without a peep. As long as your draw and anchor feels smooth, and you put your pin right next to your bow string, you are good. I hated trying to acquire my target through a peep sight. I hunted without one for years.

My stringsplitter works good for me, Winners Choice string. Low light shots; No problem.

Sounds like your getting a nice set-up buddy! I would personally hold off on the peep until you decide if you want a new sight or not. Typically most sights these day are going to require a 3/16'"s peep. 1/4" will have you floating everywhere.

This is where a Specialty Archery Peep shines, they are a touch on the heavy side but you have the option of putting the 3/16" adapter in them if wanted or anysize for that matter. They will also accept clarifier/verifiers as well which is another plus!

I took my peep out tonight as it got dark and went peepless , i pressed my Destroyer and slipped a kisser button on , and tied a tiny serving ball on the sting for the tip of my nose , i like it alott especially in low light , i'm going peepless this year .

Most sight companys these days are going back to a bigger sight housing for a more field of view , and most of them are a 2'' housing and that will require a 1/4'' peep , a 3/16'' will be way inside the housing

Update: String is being made (neon green and black to match the NAP Apache), Apache is waiting at the shop, peep is there also and I am freakin exited. I may even take my bow apart and have the riser powder coated sattin black while I am waiting or at least sand and spray it. If the bow wasn't my hunting rig I would have the limbs coated neon green to match the string and rest. lol I even ordered my wife a purple and black set of strings for her bow. She is pretty stoked about hers also.

    string: $54 x 2
    Rest: $54
    G5 peep: $8.99
    Installation free.

    Not bad at all. IMO
