I just shoot the peep, no tubing for me. Pretty small peep on mine since the housing on the Tommy Hogg is small, can't remember actual size though.
No tube for me. Been shooting with this peep now for about a year. Will never go back to the tube. Don't miss it.
It's all in the proper placement of the peep in the string. Some twisting may bee required, or moving some strands to one side over the other, etc.
I had to mess around with moving the strands just right so that it sits flush.. Before that I had to twist it a little before I drew back and it was a pain in the butt
No tube for me either. I got it pretty close to being aligned, and then installed my D-loop. The D-loop rotates the peep slightly, to perfect alignment when I draw. No problem ever with this system.
RAD 1/4" on all my rigs. Another huge factor in successful peep alignment is quality strings. I shoot Firststring string and cables on all my bows and my peeps line up from the day i put them in.
Yep. Quality strings make a ton of difference to keep a peep from rotating. Strings like Firststring, Vaportrails, Americas Best, Proline, etc. I use a Fletcher 3/16th.
1/4" Blue G5 Magnum Hunter for me. i got rid of the tube type way back when at full draw on a deer the tubing broke at the bow side and almost took out my eye. just had a quality string put on my bow and picked it up today, guy here custom makes them and guarantees it won't creep
start with a quality string from Bow String Depot install the peep and then the d loop .may have to take out a twist or 2 .but pretty much that's it .I use a 1/4 " hot shot concave peep on my hunting rig and a3/16 on my target rig.
Start with a QUALITY string, then a properly set up bow to spec ... once you get to that point the peep will travel to the same position every time. A 1/2 twist here, and a 1/2 twist there in the string will get it so the peep lines up perfectly from start to finish.
