I'm looking for a peep sight for my mathews Heli-M. I want one that isn't going to twist so I can't see but I don't want one with the rubber tube. I want one that is split just once.. Not in 3s. My last requirement is that it's under 15 bucks. Any recommendations? Thanks

G5 meta peep average price $9.99. But as for peep twisting when drawing it is usually the string that's made incorrectly.

You don't want a meta if you shoot anything bigger than 3/16. The 1/4 has been known to crush under pressure.

The material/quality/shape of your string and having your d-loop tied properly is a bigger factor keeping your peep from twisting than the type/model of peep you use... The d-loop needs to be really tight on the string so it's not rotating/moving....

Lately, my preference is the RAD peep... They make a bunch of custom colors so you can mix things up if you want (I've got the purple one in my main bow now)...

What i have heard is that if a string stretches that is what causes the peep to rotate or twist. If the string doesn't stretch it won't do that so really it all depends on the string, as far as rotating or twisting. Thats what i have learned so far. Please correct me if i am wrong but thats what i know.

    I had a G5 - it crushed.
I had a Fletcher Tru-Peep - I could not see well through it (blurry).
I HAVE (3 bows) a RAD Super Deuce - no issues. $5 each.

If your string is good and balanced none of them will turn.

I love the G5 Meta Peep. I got both new style and old style's. I like the old better.

What did you end up going with Dustin and the reason for going for it? I'm after a new peep as well but not one with the self aligning tube, seems to perish too quick. I shoot at 65lbs so I'm looking for one that is strong enough, and the few mentioned are worrying since some said they crush. The 3 split string ones seem strange since they can block view (friend has one), but a few guys at the club have trouble with there peep rotating on them. So if my string is already shot in, would something like the truglo versa peep be any good? Has anyone used this peep?

G5 fixed the issue with their 1/4" peep years ago, no worries there....I've shot them a lot and never had an issue.
The peep itself has NOTHING to do with bad peep rotation, that's all in your string...Stock strings are notorious for this, a good set of custom built strings will cure this problem.

Yes it is, John's username on all the forums is "Breathn" so that's what most people online know him by. I help John manage his shooting staff, help with his Facebook page and was also the first shooter he ever signed on his staff.

i use to shoot a G5 meta peep 1/4, but made a switch to a GlowPeep 1/4 and i love it. It's pretty bad a**. Simple charge with a flash light or just the sun from your bow hanging on its bow hanger and it gives it a glow for a good long while, helping tremendously in those low light situations...check it out

D-loop keeps just about any peep where you need it. For me G5 Meta peep.

Go on amazon they all types of peep sights and for cheap! For the peep turning, it just needs to settle. It will settle after a few shots and twisting the string. I've notice if you have a nice firm d-loop when you try twisting the d-loop its also twisting the string as well.

Not if you have really bad rotation, I've seen guys where the peep & loop were backwards "facing the riser" because of bad peep rotation... Custom strings cure all, everything else is just a bandaid.
