ive been shooting my whole life ,and have missed a few good ones because of my peep in low light conditions!im gonna try losen tha peep and going with a full draw kisser button.wandering if any of u guys out there have tried this
Not sure how a kisser would allow you to eliminate a peep. You still need two points of aim, unless you are going to shoot instinctively. I've heard of people using a hindsight instead of a peep or using a peep and a kisser.
Make sure your pins are aligned with the arrow. Because if they arn't than your peep site will be absolutely useless. The kisser button is just a second reference point. It does not take the place of a peep by any meens.
dont loose your peep , go to a 1/4'' peep and a sight with a 2'' sight housing ...........or if you dont want to do that go with a string splitter , the micro is a 3/16'' peep and the mini is a 1/4'' peep , they will bring in plenty of light for ya.
I use both. Have since I started bow hunting. I was always told, its slowing your bow down, yet I see so many people using both, even the pros. I was taught you want two (2) points of contact, thats why I use the kisser and large hooded peep. I wouldnt lose either one. I tried without a kisser on my Stinger lastyear when I first bought it but couldnt get the hang of it and seemed to be a little all over the place, as soon as I put my kisser on and got it squared away, I was shooting great!
I was only using a peep sight for a long time. Bought a new bow this year and figured I would have the kisser thrown on for a few extra bucks. My groups are way tighter when shooting now because of the second reference point. I would recommend both and see how it goes.
I put some luminescent dots on the top and bottom of my peep to help me align in low light. Works great. Not sure how to rotate the photo Sorry
I'm totally new to this and could be talking out of my butt, but I was told that the kisser was more for a frame of reference to when you are at full draw. Like having the same draw each time, when the kisser is in the corner of your lips you know that you are alignment is on. I can't really explain it any better, but if I am wrong please let me know.
The kisser is to ensure you anchor at the same point each time. It is not a point of reference for aiming.
You need the 3 points of reference. Peep sight centered to sight, Kisser or other anchor point and sting on your nose. With those 3 you will always be aiming square with your bow and arrows. Other wise you could be positioning your field of vision or "aim" out of whack. MM's of difference in eye position can be several inches in arrow placement down range.
You don't need a kisser to aim. Kisser is to help with anchoring in the same place each time. To aim you need a target, a pin and either a peep or hindsight to line up.
