    Hey guys,
I just bought my first bow and Ive been shooting it for a week or two now with no problems. But today I went to shoot it and for some reason the peep sight had moved up. So I moved it back down but then at full draw one of the strings was directly in my sight path blocking my sight of the pins. Ive messed with it a bunch and cant seem to get it back to normal. Ive moved the peep before and had no problems until now. Any suggestions? Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks

There are a few reasons your peep might move. Most probable are that either your bindings that were holding it in placed loosened it up or the string has stretched and you might need to put another twist or two in it.

I'd take it to a pro shop and let them take a look at it.

What type of peep is it? Can you post a photo of it, then we'll be able to help more.

What type of peep is it? Is it moving up or down the string? Is the peep rotating? It will move vertically because it wasn't tied in properly. It will rotate because the quality of the strings are not up to par anymore. Get you a good set of custom strings and find someone that knows how to tie the peep in and you'll be in good shape. I install Proline at my shop. Very reasonably priced and have a creep and peep rotation warranty.

I think BS is on to it. It needs to be reserved into the string in a permanent fashion and then the string needs to be twisted to index it back to true. While you're at it, it's also time to have the shop you got it from recheck the specifications to make sure that your strings haven't crept and thrown things off. If they have, the strings should be broken in now and once they reset everything you should be good to go.

thanks guys ill swing it by the shop when i get a chance. The sight is one of those that is held in by 3 of the string strands wrapping around it.

Your Pro shop should take care of you. Probably loosened up or string stretch like BigStick said.

nothing unusual with the peep rotation , it happens to everyone sooner or later most likely from string stretch and creeping while drawing , just take it to a shop and have them put a twist or so in the bottom of your shooting string .

Just in regards to the Peep sight moving UP... some times if you have a peep tube tied to the bus cable, on full draw the other end of the peep tube will move heigher than the peep sight, it will pull the sight up the string if not tied in tight enough :)
