    What is your opinion?

Does peeing off your stand hurt you, help you, or does not matter? A buddy of mine swears it does not matter at all and he does it all the time. He thinks it might even help. I think it is better to go unnoticed completely. What do you think.

If I think I can hold it for the rest of my sit, I do. If I can't, I go right off the stand.

It might not hurt... But why take the chance? I go No. 1 in a bottle. I do everything I can to increase my odds of putting a booner on the ground.

I recently saw a video by James Kroll addressing this very issue. They found a scrape and "freshened" it up with their own urine and then set a trailcam over it. The deer came in (bucks and does) and sniffed around in it and most added their own calling card. None of the deer were spooked by it.

    Blessings.......Pastorjim

That's very interesting pastorjim. I've always wondered about this myself. I know a few people that swear it doesn't matter and I know a few people, including myself, that don't do it. I wonder if your diet factors into it at all. I'm not a urine specialist or anything but i'd imagine the chemicals and potency of one's urine can vary from person to person. It probably is harmless. I'm pretty paranoid when it comes to scent though so i'd rather be safe than sorry.

X2! I just will not take a chance. I put too much time and effort in locating the deer I want to take. I agree it probably will not bother, but not willing to give up all the work I put in the entire year to blow it. I will not take chances to blow an opportunity at Mr. BIG.
    Just my thoughts...

I used to say don't do it.. Until I peed and saw deer walk right over it and it didn't even phase them... Im staring to think all this talk about you have to be 100% scent free to kill deer is bull. I have gone out in clothes covered in cologne (before I ever even thought of the scent factor) and still seen big bucks. I guess it has a lot to do with wind direction and weather...

few years ago I was out of my treestand, had to pee,, set the gun down, peed, picked up the gun looked up and there was a doe sitting 15 yards away staring at me. Shouldered the gun and filled one of my doe tags. At that range, if she let me come to full draw, I easily could have taken her with a bow as well.
