Pretty happy with the pvc bow I made. I've got it down to 6" groups at 20 yards, I'm ready to put a deer down with it. Hits pretty hard with 580 grains....I'm guessing its shooting in the 150 to 160 fps range. click pic for video.

    I'm releasing in the 28-29" range....48lbs at 28 and 52lbs at 29.

Did you heat and shape the PVC? I’ve heard of guys doing that. I made one for my 3 year old but it’s just wrapped in tape and strung with braided masonry line. It will shoot pretty hard (plenty hard for a three year old) but nowhere near the speed and weight you are getting.

No, its just a straight long bow....1/2" pipe ripped and shoved into a 3/4" pipe, with a 3/8" fiberglass rod in the center.

I may even make a few more of this in the 180 grain range to shoot through it.

Definitely make a flattened pipe version!!! Use 1" pipe and flatten it and make recurve shaped tips. I made a shorter bow pulling 62lbs at 30" and it shoots 10times harder than the round pipe bows, mostly because its so much less weight to carry in the limb as well as a more natural way for the pipe to bend. There is even an instructional for a centershot version on youtube

He can, I have a couple of them he made. They are pretty awesome.

Are safety glasses required with the bow:D

    Pvc isn't made to bend:what:

Nice job and good luck dropping something with it.
