Wow that is crazy, it is a miracle he is alive, that arrow was only four or five inches away from center mass. That is some serious scumbag orange army crap right there, I would punch anybody in the face who admits to flinging arrows at every twig snap he hears. what a piece of garbage...
WOW both stories are totally insane. That hunter should have his licence revoked. And kids can definitely be crazy on their own, and it doesnt take much to push an already crazy kid over the edge.
This is a very sad indictment of our present day society. I can only see continued suffering for this boy's family. I fear the system will not be able to rehabilitate this kids lack of conscience or empathy for others. His step fathers comments about his trouble with other students at school and talking about killing them is very disturbing. I also fear that the good law enforcement personnel in Virginia will eventually have to deal with this individual and I only hope a LEO will not be injured by this individual.
My father God rest his soul would have beat my butt up and down the street than woulda made me pay for the calf!! But today, if you look at a kid wrong they need a safe space. I don't know what I would do if that was my calf. Unreal
Nothing could be further from the truth. Parents never deserve all the blame for the bad or all the credit for the good.
I'm sorry, but the title of this thread is incorrect. The shooting of the calf had nothing to do with paying attention and the kid certainly was sure of his target. This was deliberate and malicious. While we as hunters should pay attention and make sure of our targets, this was not done by a hunter. As I do not know the parents nor the child, it would be wrong for me to judge either. The act, however, is criminal and should be dealt with appropriately.
Normally my mentality would be to believe a swift kick in the arse will fix any kid, but actually, because I am living it, I know it ain't true. My 15 year old son, perfect gentleman, as good a kid as a parent could ask for. My 13 year old daughter, absolutely uncontrollable. She's gonna do, and not do, whatever she wants, and nothing we can say or do is gonna change her mind. We've tried everything with her, butt kickings, groundings, take her stuff away, even the bogus positive reinforcement bs, nothing works, she is just so strong willed that punishment actually makes her dig her heels in even deeper. We kid around, but it's true, she's either gonna end up in jail, or with her arguing skills, be the best lawyer on earth! God help the poor dude that marries her! Now for the kid who is obsessed with seeing things die, that kid needs to be put away now before he kills someone.
