Does anyone know of a good place to find historical weather data? I'm trying to use trail cams to pattern deer and would like to be able to go back and find the wind direction for each time a certain buck visited certain scrapes. Right now, I can't find a web source to do this.

    Thanks

    Check out wunderground.com.

Type in your zip code and then towards the bottom is an option to change days. Gives you temp, moisture, wind, etc.!

Weather Underground is the best web source. If you have a smartphone, look into the Tree Squat'R app. You can input location and time of a deer sighting, and it'll pull the weather info for you.

Wind in my area is almost always south west with a very rare north wind so it's not to hard to pick the down wind side of the scrapes will be. I don't both with field edge scrapes at all.

I run a lot of trailcams but during the rut who knows why a buck turns his head on certain trails on a day to day basis, when love is in the air caution is thrown to the Wind... Get it :lmao:

Also night time picks only tell you where a deer is when you can't hunt him, when the first daytime pics start you need to be on stand as much as possible before he finds a doe he likes that is close to being bred,I watch doe groups more in the next weeks to come as I kind of draw lines between where each group lives for bucks travel from group to group and how he has to get there mostly using funnels and staging areas near doe feeding areas. During the lock down phase it's hard to find a buck that won't leave a doe that's close to letting him get his way,I have killed two 140 plus deer here by walking right up to them standing over the doe in her bed just waiting for her to stand.
