Eat the meat from that animal and you are likely to grow a 3rd leg from all the crap they injected him with. What a disgrace.

Has no one touched on the fact that the deer is visually repulsive? Looks like a 26 year old buck with a disgusting rack.
Sorry but when you post stuff like that on a true down to earth hunting forum your gonna get negative feedback

Awesome buck, I for one enjoyed seeing him, thanks for posting.

The thread could have been something much worse, like "mechanical or fixd blade"....really? The first 100 times this thread was ok, but its getting kinda old now. I would much rather see farm deer.

I don't see what the big deal is, some dude shoot a big deer in a fence. Its not hunting, its killing, and in my opinion you cant brag about it but people have been doing stuff just like this for years. Tame pheasant, duck and quail shoots for one. Why is deer so different? There is places in TN, and I'm sure in other states, where you can go shoot all kinds of stuff, pigs, sheep, goats, African exotics, even elk and buffalo. Guarantee or you don't pay. People have been raising stuff and shooting it for years and years.
Some of you may remember not to long ago some guy on here won some kind of an elk "hunt" where they would turn one loose and let it walk past so you could shoot it. He was wondering should he go, if this was something he wanted to do, most people here said go and shoot the elk(it seems like it was a cow). Whats the difference?
Is it because he put it on a hunting forum and was bragging about what his buddy shot? He even put that it was shot in a high fence area although most didn't know what monster bucks of ohio was.
For what its worth its not my cup of tea and even if somebody gave me the "hunt" I wouldn't do it. And I agree with midwestmachine, I don't care for deer that look like that either. Just ugly but to each his own.

They actually have the balls to say that hunting in their pens is not much different than hunting in the wild. LMAO!!!

I said to my self I wouldn't feed this thread more, but TheChurchArchers I think you my friend are judging some of us by simply stating we are. A lot of us, I would bet the majority of those posting here, have no ill feelings or judgements placed upon the man who shot the deer. Any man or woman who chooses to accept or purchase a hunt at such an operation doesn't warrant them being labeled a terrible individual or human being for that matter. However, the true fair chance hunting community of any kind despise operations like this that claim it is hunting, or compare themselves to hunting free ranging whitetails. Siman has posted many a point about someone he knows that raises deer purchased by places like this that PROVES this is nothing more than livestock killing....just as my uncle does his pigs and cattle.

That is where many of us have an issue...some states don't even require a hunting license to do these "canned hunts" because it doesn't by definition meet the required things for a hunting license to be required....just as a farmer doesn't need a license to kill a pig.

Can the animal be respected for it's ability to grow such a massive rack...sure I guess...but it isn't normal or realistic. Can the hunter be respected as a man or woman who hunts there....sure I guess...but aspects of their character can be drawn by how they react about it. This man did nothing of the sort but many a time there are hunts in fenced areas that hunters claim as real and true or go to great lengths to carefully choose their words to give the illusion it is fair chase.

Honestly someone said it best when they brought up this truly is simply home decorating...just very expensive home decorating.

Perhaps this analogy will assist in the understanding of why this isn't viewed well in a hunting community:
(morals aside for a moment) Which is more impressive: The guy who works his butt off and gets the bombshell girl after countless dates, boring movies and whatever else you can imagine....or the one who simply hires a hooker?

Lol I just don't see how anyone can say this is hunting or call it a trophy. I would feel more proud walking out back and slocking one of my cows than I would these pets. At least my cows will shy away from me and not eat from my hands.
