I went and sat tonight hoping to get this hawg I caught on camera and look what strolled by. I passed on her and the yearling since I just shot a decent buck this past weekend. I'm sure she'll stay by so if she offers up a shot in December I'll take it. Hopefully she'll be bringing a nice buck with her next time.

    Here's the Hawg I'm after.

I was literally 10 ft to the right and 20 ft up just watching them stroll.

A very similar scenario messed me up last year big-time...

I normally take 4-6 does early in the season before really concentrating on my buck hunting; my family goes through a LOT of venison, and I need to take advantage of all the early-season opportunities I'm afforded before the deer become more educated and spooky as the season goes on (not just from me, but from hunters as a whole as I hunt mostly public land...)

Last year, I got a pic of a GIANT 6x6 typical following a couple minutes behind a doe a week before season opened... So... the first three weeks, I held off whacking any does in hopes the scenario was repeating itself and the giant was in tow.

Never happened, and I had to hunt my arse off at the end of the season to fill my freezer the way it needed to be...

I would let her go too. I feel, that if she feels safe traveling this way, perhaps when the Rut kicks in she'll bring a hawg behind her. It's work well in the past.
