    Hi Wed, Thur and Friday is 71, I cannot pass that kind of weather for the start of season. Decided I am taking those three days off to hunt. Let the games begin.

    Very uneventful opener in Wisonsin for me. Spent 3 days out there with perfect conditions, and didn't see a SINGLE deer.
    Not sure if the flooding they got screwed up their travel patterns or what.
    Oh well, was nice to get away and check things out. Next time.

    I had a spike walk right under my stand yesterday morning but didn't see anything else in the morning or evening. Buddy hunting the same farm saw 10 deer in the bean field last night. Going out again this afternoon and gonna sit on a different bean field.

    Well tonight I could have pulled the trigger in a decent 120" 8 point but I just did not feel comfortable with a 41 yard shot and the buck looked a little in edge.

    At least you are seeing some action with that buck!!! I am taking my brother in law on the youth hunt this Saturday and Sunday, blind is all brushed in. I am trying to get him his first deer!

    Well I went and pulled cards to see what was moving around as I plan to get out in the stand and sit this weekend. Found this brute on the camera at 420 in the afternoon. Only thing is.....I have never seen this deer before. I have been hunting and running cameras on this hunk of land for 3 years and not even a glimpse of him. Sure hoping he hangs around.
