Just wanted to let you all know I will be off for a bit but I am still in for the contest. I just wont be posting for a bit. Dad had a heart attack, Grandma has three brain tumors and today she went unresponsive to anyone. I also have been working 16 hours shifts at work since we are short not by choice. I will get my points just going to be MIA for a bit. Got a lot on my plate right now.
Take care of your bussiness brother. The deer will be there for ya when you are ready. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Well made it out this morning for the first time of the year. I came to a stand I haven't even looked at since last year. I did no scouting/trail cams in these woods just for the nostalgia. I have seen 3 does and 2 small bucks so far but nothing worth picking the bow up. I will shoot a doe at some point in the year just too early for me to wanna mess with it right now. Dawg take care of the things that mean the most and hope everything works out for you and the family.
Good luck to anyone hunting this weekend! It's going to be a brisk 38 degrees in the AM! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have to work in the morning, hope to get out for my first hunt in the afternoon. Calling for a chance of light rain, if it is not a down pour then I will still go. I'm so excited with the thought of actually hunting. Dave
Grandma passed away this morning at 6am. She is in a better place now and I am sure she is Polka Dancing with Grandpa as I sit here and type this on the computer. Thanks all for your prayers.

1st hunt of season yesterday afternoon, light misty/drizzle and overcast when I went out. Sat the stand closest to the two dirt driveways. Heard a deer blow at about 630pm and realized it was the neighbor walking the dog that spooked the deer. Was good to get out into the woods after the year I have had, it was peaceful, quite and gave me time to reflect. Heading down to the farm today, will put up my last two stands. I need to also pull my camera cards and possibly set three more cameras out in spots I want to check out. Hope you all are doing well. Dave
