How far from your stand do you park.

When I hunt state game lands and state forest I have to park in pre-determined parking lots. So I am never close to my truck. I keep a deer cart under the seat because the drags are long.

When I hunt private land in PA we park at the gate which is about 400-500 yards from the closest stand. In OH we park at the barn. Closest stand is about 300 yards across the field.

Anywhere from 80-500 yards, just depends on which stand I am going to. Our best stand last year, where we killed 4 good bucks, was the 80 yard walk.

My property is just 9 acres in size and I'd estimate about 150 yards, maybe 200 at most.

Well on the main hunting land I have to park outside the garage, which is about 1/2 mile from the stands. For my alternate weekends when hunting public the truck will be 3.5 miles away but will pull the boat into shore within 100 yards.

If my stand is out there where vehicle traffic isnt normal then id say 300-500 yds and try to hide the vehicle if possible. One stand i hunt is 30 yds from a road. My truck ends up being 50 yds from my stand. It doesnt bother the deer at all. I had one big doe scopin it out one time but then she came right under me. Guess she was makin sure no stinky humans were around it
