Parking On Shoulder of Highway to Hunt

    Yeah, I would think so long as you're legal you're good. And just don't tell your wife what you're up to. :lmao2: That's my strategy.

    I've done this on township roads no problem. But I'd do it on a highway too if I felt I was enough into the shoulder it wouldn't cause issues. In terms of theft, I would think you could keep tabs on your vehicle from the distance you're hunting away from the road. Good luck.

    As long as there no laws against it, sounds like it's an "at your own risk" kind of thing. I'm sure you'll get a few "lookie loos" if you drag a buck out! Good luck!

    Back in IL I hunted a property that bordered I-90. I parked right along the fence on the private property side and had at least one semi honk at me every time I went out. Not sure if they were wishing me luck or what. LOL. I definitely wouldn't park off of an interstate.

    Out here there are a few highways where, depending on the day and time, it might be hours before another vehicle even came by. :D
