No we can't wipe them out. That doesn't mean we shouldn't try to wipe out as many as we can. We didn't try to wipe them out in Iraq war. Yet their power was much less when we were in Iraq. It wasn't until we left they got their foothold and gained power. It was until we destabilized Syria that they got their foothold and gained more power. You can't simply ignore them and expect them to go away. The only way to deal with them is to take as many of them out as you can and keep them as weak as possible. You don't let them keep control of cities and regions. Doing so only increases their capabilities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Think we need to get off the subject of Christianity and Muslims as this isn't what this thread is about. Violence in the bible
And I repeat: The Bible has stories of hateful and horrible things that happened, but the difference is as I have mentioned in previous posts, IT DOESN'T TEACH CHRISTIANS TO DO THOSE THINGS. The Koran is telling it's followers to commit murder, pedophilia, and condoning those things. There is a big difference in telling a story about what happened and teaching/condoning it. Are you saying a history book that talks about the Lincoln assassination means it is teaching and condoning assassination of politicians? No. So your statement doesn't match the major differences of Christianity/Bible and Islam/Koran. Also, I provided verses from the Koran and the Hadith. It's really hard to argue with people who can't comprehend the difference between a story and commandment.
Do you follow every single thing the bible teaches you? No. Vast majority of Muslims do the same for the Quran.
To the best of my ability, but no (because I am a sinner), but there's not one single verse tells me to kill non believers of Christ. It teaches me to love them and pray for them. If not all Muslims follow the Koran, but it teaches them to do those things, then why can't we ban Islam? It's their "religion" that's the problem. Thank you for proving my point.
Have you read the Quran or are you just highlighting the bad things it teaches based off of a Google search? Here are some good things from the Quran: “O You who believe! Enter absolutely into peace (Islam). Do not follow in the footsteps of satan. He is an outright enemy to you.” (Holy Quran: 2, 208) “There is no compulsion where the religion is concerned.” (Holy Quran: 2/ 256) As stated in the verse, no one can be compelled to live by Islamic morals. Conveying the existence of God and the morals of the Qur’an to other people is a duty for believers, but they call people to the path of God with kindness and love and they never force them. It is only God Who guides people to the right way. This is related in the following verse: “You cannot guide those you would like to but God guides those He wills. He has best knowledge of the guided.” (Holy Quran/28: 56) “God does not forbid you from being good to those who have not fought you in the religion or driven you from your homes, or from being just towards them. God loves those who are just.” (Surat al-Mumtahana, 8) “We have appointed a law and a practice for every one of you. Had God willed, He would have made you a single community, but He wanted to test you regarding what has come to you. So compete with each other in doing good. Every one of you will return to God and He will inform you regarding the things about which you differed.” (Surat al-Ma’ida, 48) “God does not love corruption”. (Surat al-Baqara, 205)
I have not read the entire Koran, no. Great, a few good things from a religion that teaches killing of non believers. That's great news. Hitler instilled equal rights for women and strong family values and helped develop a lot of new technologies. We should have kept the Nazis around too. Facepalm.
It's very evident that you are very firmly planted in Christianity and do not view other religions in a bright light. The Quran could teach 10,000 good things to 10 bad and you would still focus on the bad. A very small percentage of people will kill non believers... Just like there will be a very small percentage of Christians who kill non believers.
Yep, I am very adamantly planted firmly in God and my Bible, and the difference is that Christianity doesn't teach me to kill and Islam does. I'm glad we've finally come to agree that Islam teaches to kill but not everyone follows and Christianity teaches to love but not everyone does.
Correct, there are bad people of all kinds, but when it comes to religion, some religions teach it's followers to do it and others do not. You clearly can't comprehend that. EDIT: And seeing the picture you posted is from Occupy Democrats explains a lot.
The small percentage Muslims that believe in he jihadist and killing is a larger population than the US. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think what you are missing here is the fact that, while there has always been a fundamental fight between Muslims, Jews and Christians, the majority of Muslims have zero love loss for western civilization regardless of the religious differences. They would rather see our cities burn to the ground than not. They believe their religion is the ONLY religion and are not tolerant of any other views. Now, some are radicals and jihadists, while others are just average people, but the ideology doesn't change no matter which end of the spectrum they fall into. They despise western civilization, and there's nothing we can do to make them change their minds on that front.
I'm well studied in the bible, so I'm not asking for references for my sake, per se, but for you and the other that made the comment. I asked you to answer privately the first time, so the thread wouldn't derail. The response never came (which I was fine with). The second time it came out was from someone else. So again I asked for references. Here's 3 reasons why i'm asking for references. 1) If for whatever reason I missed the passage/teachings of the bible commanding me to commit violence. (I did not, because it does not.) 2) Because this is a public forum with an extreme number of views. If by chance someone that is not a Christian and knows little to nothing about the bible reads yours/someone else's statement then I want the statement challenged so they themselves as well as yall (if you care to read it) will go look and see what it has to say. 3) The main reason - I hope that you and anyone else will read it and the Spirit of God will strengthen your curiosity to it.
If your propping Malcom X and Bill Gates up as to be your role models, then I think I can see where you have gone wrong here. SMH.
We have not read the Quran... Therefore we cannot assume that it teaches Muslims and others to kill all non-believers. Are we positive the evil verses you posted did not involve a deeper story? We have no idea what the context of the verse is stemming from. I'm not saying that I believe in the Quran/Muslim beliefs/or anything else. I just have an open mind in regards to 1.5 Billion people and their beliefs. Not every on of them hates us and not every one is out to kill us and as far as I know their religion does not teach everyone to kill all non believers.
It was a simple meme reflecting that not everyone is a cold blooded killer... No matter what their religion teaches. I guess posting a picture means they're my role models. SMH.
Deuteronomy 17: 2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant, 3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel: 5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.
You mean the guy who built a fortune 500 company from nothing and has given away tens of Billions of $ to charity....yeah he is a sorry excuse for a role model.
