I'm not saying I am backing this idea but here it out. Life is miserable in the Middle East right? Maybe some happy people but with all the unrest and instability I'm guessing not so good. And it's going to continue to get worse right? Trying to fix the problem with politics in my mind is like trying to stop and avalanche with a butterfly net. There was a time for the butterfly net but not anymore. If we did destroy the entire Middle East it would be easier to rebuild it the right way. Then the unhappiness could finally end. Special forces, sniper rifles and no bag limit. Keep killing those who take up the lead of terrorism and make it so nobody would want to be the leader, or so the leaders cannot stick their heads out of the holes they will be living in. That will allow the people of the region to take over their own country.

difference was special forces was mixed with regular military and eventually regular military took over. If we just keep our special forces isolated and let them do their jobs and kill those we want dead. We keep trying to fight them like they are a country. We need to change how we go after them. And take the handcuff off.

That's funny but doesn't apply to this situation at all. The person would have to punch 50 innocent people before the chance of punching back. ISIS members are not gathered together. They're living alongside innocent people, making it difficult to punch back with the military's current tactics.

They why aren't the innocent majority not standing up for what is right and putting these radicals in their place? Why are they not up in arms, denouncing those terroristic acts? I have no answer for this other than they are sympathetic to that cause.

That video is great. There are definitely a lot of valid points when it comes to this discussion. I wouldn't jump straight to sympathetic to the cause... but I do tend to agree that the Muslim community must do a better job of standing up for themselves and speaking out against this radical minority demonstrating how they do NOT represent the majority of muslims. Silence is misinterpreted as agreement or alliance, which is a mistake on their part IMO. As for the ones who actually live over there, it's easy why they don't speak out. The ones in power will kill them. This whole scenario is disheartening for me. The sickest part of all are all the memes and fake stories floating around the internet and Facebook. "As long as there are homeless vets we don't have room for refugees".. "as long as there are homeless children..." What are YOU doing about those scenarios? If you care so much about homeless vets then go help one find a home... quit using their horrible situation as an arguing point against others in need. I tend to agree we can't risk accepting the masses of refugees currently. But we also can't sit back and do nothing. Bad guys hiding among them or not, hundreds of thousands of people are in dire need right now and we as a country have calloused ourselves into not caring at all.
I agree, but we ignore the needs of millions of people in Africa every day. There are places over there that are worse off than Syria right now. I think the reason the people of the middle east get more attention is because those in power not only oppress their own people (like in Africa) but also actively seek out and hurt outsiders worldwide. I just can't wrap my head around how much evil is still out there and how primitively much of the world still lives. We definitely were extremely fortunate to be born in America... That much is for sure.
There is a difference between not caring and protecting our nation and people. We have before rendered aid and assistance to people displaced by war and have done it without flying them 1/2 around the world. We need to quick hit ISIS in Syria and get them out of a position of power and back into their holes and give the refugees back their country.
