There's two very big reasons Japan has behaved themselves, some what mushroom looking. That and themselves and Germany, since we're talking same time frame have just as many US military in their backyard as some states do here. If not more. Just to clarify I'm not saying need to drop atomic bombs on the middle east. But there are other ways to show just as much force.

Which time? The first time when it lasted all of 72 hours or this time when our military was so handcuffed from politics they couldn't do their job? How many top generals and officers have either retired or been basically put on trial for trying to get things done. So do we sit back and do nothing? I find it hard to believe in less than 24 hours France knew where to strike but we have no idea.

Identify their leaders and take them out. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Let it be know that anyone that takes a leadership role will die on our terms, not theirs. Then follow through consistently and with prejudice.
So why not finish it now? You don't haveta go all over the world when they operate mainly one region. If European countries go full in how long before they ask for help. So do we just turn our back and say you got it? I'd rather not wait until we're forced to react because we're looking at couple hundred dead and twice that wounded.
Agreed and that first time the Democrat controlled congress pulled the plug on the operation and the world sat back and watched Saddam use WMD to kill 100,000 Kurds live on CNN. But that was all he had and he used it all up.

Some of these arguments would be a lot more convincing if you saw Muslims around the world coming out against attacks. But you don't. No Muslim walks or protest against these killings or any others. Kilboars Hunt Club
I've been seeing a ton of posts about Americans taking the ISIS in the US problem into our own hands. But isn't that what ISIS has been doing? The US goes in to take control and we're surprised there's an uprising and groups such as ISIS? According to the radical rednecks, we would be doing the same thing if they came here. This is a very basic explanation that leaves out their extreme measures and religion but you can't be surprised after the US has occupied that region for more than a decade. I'm for finishing the job but the right way. I couldn't tell you what the right way is but our military has elite groups that are used sparingly. Why not bring most of the soldiers back and let the "tip of the spear" go in and take out the main guys.
The main guys have been taken out before and the result is still the same. More fill in the rolls with even more hatred for anyone's involvement, not just America. Rebelling against oppressors, fine I get it. But when the line is crossed and rebels start bombing and shooting civilians, that is when the entire body needs to be cut off and anyone affiliated needs a target on their head with the trigger being squeezed off...

And it is really sad to me that people think the way you do. 1.5 Billion Muslims and some .003% of them are who commits the terrorism and is who we are after... Yes, the big rallies are every Sunday of the year at a rallying church near you. People love bringing that up but when was the last time that happened or a group of christians gunned down 100's of abortion clinic workers?
