Total agreement...To bad he couldn't get her to to mow the lawn at night.

After all these years my friends always manage to bring it up. Summer of 1976

Agree 100%. Sadly, some of the worst examples of this that I have seen are guys that are obsessed with bow hunting. This hobby that we all love so much, can really become a very selfish endeavor. I for one have been guilty in the past and I am sure many others here have too. If you have young children or plan to, make them the center of your universe and let your hobbies take a back seat. Dont force your interests on them. If they naturally have interest, great. Not all will. The time will fly by and you will never get a second chance. With two teenagers, I actually spend very little time hunting and would not change a thing. In two or three years I will have lots of time to hunt, and will be wishing they were still around.

My Jr. High School Principal his name was actually John Quincy Adams, he gave me a choice. And the change came gradually.

My other trouble making co-conspirators became drop-outs, prison, drug abuse, America's Most Wanted...Change is something you must want to do.

One of my worst feelings was lending money to one of my teachers family that always called me a useless bum, to help her get a decent burial. Can't tell you if I felt bad for her or myself.

The girls future is in her hands or the legal systems.

It is, but sometimes it's nice if we, as parents, can help them not have to learn every leasson the hard way.

Entertaining video. Just wait, you'll hear on the news of some kid popping her dad with a 45 while he's asleep. :)

If he beats Hannah then he ends up getting into trouble, you can't do that anymore in this country as it is bad parenting. The only thing I don't get is why he wasted so many bullets. I would have put one for me and one for momma. Hopefully the spoiled little brat gets a job so she can get back on facebook soon!

Looks like the daughter is 15. Well it hasn't been that long since I was 15.

So he's going to teach his 15 year-old daughter maturity by acting like a 12 year-old. Great plan! What a role model.

I tried to imagine my mother and me in a situation like that. Impossible. Mama had way too much dignity and love for me.

This twit failed with his daughter years ago. Or maybe he didn't. She turned out just like him, totally immature.

Don't get me wrong. My mother was a strict disciplinarian. Transgressing the rules resulted in the application of a leather belt to my unprotected little tail. But she never whipped me while she was angry. We sat down and discussed it and I would agree that I should be punished and that was it. I got hugs and cuddles afterwards.

I would question whether this clown's relationship with his daughter is even salvageable.

And what's with shooting a helpless, innocent computer lying on the ground? And at point-blank range yet. Big deal.

A reasonable man would have sold it for a couple hundred bucks.

I want to wish his daughter a lot of luck, not that I agree with what she did, but your parents are kind of responsible for how you turn out.

Absolutely. FTR, I really don't have a problem with him shooting the laptop, that didn't benefit him. He made the video for his benefit though, it really didn't serve her at all.

Finally got around to watching it, and coming from a non-parent, I thought it was great.

I could see him making a video of the wrongs she did to them so her friends could see. I agree with grounding her and taking her privilages away. I agree with making her actually work a job and buy her own things to learn respect for what she has.

Shooting her labtop was over the top though and stupid. As a parent it isn't the message I would want to send to my kids or anbody else's. What was the message ?? If you have a problem pull out a gun, shoot it to make it go away. Ya that is what I want kids to see. And some wonder why they want to take the guns away from us. The guy was an idiot and not thinking other then payback to his kid with killing the labtop. If some think he is a hero... my God... I hope they don't own firearms.

Taking a sledge hammer to it would have been funnier... IMHO... but still not the message I would want to send to my kids or other kids. It isn't teaching respect but teaching the very opposite.

I didn't watch the video, but I will add that my father did some wild crap back when I was growing up to teach me lessons of respect, humility, and honor. Things that today would have him locked up, guaranteed.

Amazing how everyone seems to know what this father has done to fail his daughter as she was/is growing up. He may have tried
Every thing else already. Obviously grounding didn't work. Some kids require extreme measures to get the message and she obviously wasn't getting it.

I would probably never do what he did but I am not the parent of his child either. I will say this. I will do whatever I feel will get through to my child if I see they are heading down the wrong path.

I have 2 teenagers. 17 year old daughter and a 13 year old son. I feel his pain and fortunately mine seem to be doing much better than his but that doesn't necessarily mean I am doing my job right and he is doing it wrong.

My kids love sport. Daughter dances and my son is into basketball, baseball and is nuts about hunting. Being involved in these activities is a great motivator because they know they can be pulled at anytime.

But I still have trouble getting my daughter to empty the dishwasher too. Lol

You are right, we don't know what kind of a parent he is. We don't know how bad his daughter is. We do know if he gets mad... he likes shooting things.

As a kid, I said some mean stuff about my dad when I didn't agree with him to my friends. Thank God there was no facebook back then. :) I wasn't evil nor did I even remotely wish any bad things on my dad. It was blowing off steam and making the ego feel better. Nothing more !! I still loved him and would have taken hell on itself to help him if needed. He always knew that and we butted heads a lot.

Kids say stupid things everyday. Adults say even stupider things everyday and we are suppose to know better and be adults. I know I have. Throw in facebook and we have a lot of people saying stupid things all the time. We see that on the forums and yes... I've said things that were stupid that shouldn't have been said.

I've known most of the people that are my friends on facebook most of my life. I see how they protray themselves on facebook... it usually isn't how they portray themselves in the real world !!! Seems to be a lot of saints on Facebook !! Anything written on Facebook... I would really not put a whole lot into. Nothing that needs a gun to settle it anyways.

If some day my kids say something stupid or even hurtful on facebook... punish them... yes. Make them look like fools to their friends... no. I am not really too worried about my kids though. They are a pretty good bunch. If one does turn out rotten... I will just blame their mother. It surely couldn't have been my fault cause I am a saint and the perfect parent. You all knew that though... right ?? Well that is the word on facebook.

Just plain dumb. Many different ways to go about this. I guess he figured this was his last attempt at getting across.

That's the point. We don't know.

This video is just a small snapshot in time. We don't know what happened leading up to this nor do we know how it was handled afterwards.

Oh and I totally agree. We all say things we wish we could take back but unfortunately when its printed on the internet, it is forever. Kids and adults seem to have trouble understanding this.
