I'm looking to get some information on how to make a cross body lanyard for my rangefinder. I've tried looking at YouTube but I didn't find anything I was looking for. Any Web link or instruction would be appreciated! :tu:

bowhunter4e has a really good tutorial on how to make wrist slings. Same concept just more material. Here is the link:

Yep, just learn the knot pattern you want for it and use the same concept just more material.

The green cord is the base for the body strap. It's basically 4' or so of cord looped and tied onto itself with slip knots. There's a short strap tied off of it to attach to the range finder with a quick clip. That strap is done with a cobra weave. There's another short strap on the range finder itself with the other end of the quick clip, also done with a cobra weave.

Finally I did a cobra weave along the top of the green cord to act as a shoulder pad. I think it's about a foot long.

The last photo shows why I used the quick clips. In the early season I can just clip RF onto one of the bino loops of my Ultralite harness.
