well my dad signed the papers this week to sell the land. i'm so bummed and pissed. going up in the am to get my stands, blind, and all my hunting crap and bring it all home. i'll need to make a couple trips which sucks even more. i had really hoped to hunt that land and teach my children to hunt on it. oh well nothing good lasts forever, time to figure out where i can hunt now  :(

That sucks! I would hate to have to let go of land and I don't personally own any other than my 2 acres.

I can't imagine not having our family land. I really doubt that I would be anywhere near as serious of a hunter if I didn't. Just don't think I would have been turned on if I had to have been hunting public land. Sorry man, I feel for ya.

Sorry to hear about your families land. I'm sure your dad must have a good reason for selling it, selling family land is usually a last resort for something - I bet he feels bad too. Hope you can find somewhere else to hunt.

Definitely sucks but feel lucky to have had family land while you did. Many people out there are stuck on public their whole life

Very true fats, kudos to the guys that have been self motivated enough to slug it out on public land.

That sucks, but, you have some awesome public land a few miles North of ya, in the Kettle Moraine State Forest, if your interested, I'll show some great places!
