So I just purchased a new sight and wondering if I'm going to have to re-paper tune my bow. I previously had the bow paper tuned at the shop but will a new sight change that and require the bow to be retuned. I believe paper tuning has to do with the rest and the nock point so I don't think the sight will affect it but I just want to be careful. Any input would be appreciated.

You should not have to for a sight. You will have to re-sight it, but not paper tune it.

You shouldn't have to with a new sight.

Though it never hurts to check.

Paper tuning is to adjust center shot and getting proper arrow flight. Once that is done, sighting in is easy. Sounds like you already have the hard part done - enjoy your new sight!

If there is cam lean, paper tune will not give you perfect center shot. Centershot needs to be set via walk back or french tune or a combination of the 2, which is what I use.

A sight will have no bearing on the tune.

Guess I'm doing it wrong, I've never done walk back tuning. You are correct, paper tuning is not a cure for cam lean issues.

If there are tear issues after setting center via french or walk back, a twist or two in the yoke on the tear side will clean it right up. Double check walk back and you're set. Assuming you have a yoke.

That's what we did, just didn't walk back. Stayed at paper tune distance and got the bullet hole tears

What do you call paper tune distance? For me, it is 3' 6' and 9'. Not a singular distance.
