Purchased a 2011 used z7 a week ago and this is what is happening when shot from 10 yards. Also looks like the left fletching is hitting the bottom left of my rest. Had it set up at bass pro and that must have been a mistake!!! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1346802923.570383.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1346802936.084577.jpg

wow! I would recommend you take it to a Mathews dealer and start from zero. There are many possible reasons for what you are seeing. Bad bow timing. rest positioned wrong and or not set up correctly, underspined arrows. My biggest concern would be why someone got rid of a 2011 Mathews bow........Like, was there something wrong with it...? I think you gotta strip it down and start over. I gotta wonder how much the guy at BPS had been trained on setting up bows!

He apparently was the head of archery but he also gave me arrows that were way off spline for my set up. The reason he sold his bow was due to a shoulder injury. Only if I had a Mathews dealer anywhere near me!

You can spray the arrow rest and fletching with foot powder spray and tell if there is interference. When it dries it will usually stay in place until it is rubbed. If there is no interference then I would check nock point. It looks like to me it is high. You could fix by lowering the nock point or raising the rest. On a Z7 Xtreme there is a hole in the bottom cam. They told me when I bought mine that if the cable is seen in the middle of the hole it is set up right. There may be a lot more to it than that but that is what they told me.
If it were me I would take the pictures you took and take the bow back to the guy that checked it out for you and give him a chance to redeem himself. Something could have changed ( rest not dropping right ) that is different now than it left with you. I would like to think that he checked it before he gave it to you and that he wouldn’t have let it go out that way with such a blatant problem.

You will like that bow when you get it right.

I think I have the correct arrows shooting 66lbs and 28 1/2 draw. Arrows are cut to 29 1/2 in

If you could, try taking a picture of the face of the bow with an arrow nocked. As well as a picture from the back of the nock straight down to the arrow head point of view.

May help others in helping you figure out how to re-tune your bow before you take it to a shop.

EDIT: Buckstop in West Dundee,IL is the local Mathews Dealer. I live right near there and depending on who's there, they are either nice or a male genital due to their "give it to you straight and honest" point of sales.
