I am having my bow dipped as there was a lot of wear on the paint/camo on the bow. I am painting the limb pockets and cable guard myself and I was wondering if anyone else has tried this?

I sanded them down, put on 2 clear coats, lightly sanded, then 3 coats of Tremclad Metal Rust Paint, then two clear coats of Tremclad Rust Paint Clear. However do I need a tougher clear coat for this application?

Vinny, look around and see if you can find someone that does "ceramic" powdercoating. It's a very thin coat of powder-coating that is very durable, and probably better than paint. I had a set of limb pockets done a couple years ago to match the cams when I did a cam swap on a bow, looked perfect. Solid colors only, but still looked very nice.
