Currently rocking a fanny pack or small backpack and have forced myself to slim down on "stuff" too...perhaps if I buy this I'll go back to thinking I need more "stuff". The great debate of to fanny or Bow bat begins... :D

I understand as I have also been accused of packing in too much stuff. I loaded all my turkey gear it this evening and hung it in the ground blind to see how it will work. It fit nicely into the corner of the blind however I think I will move it to a side wall so everything is at my finger tips and it's not as visible (not sure that that matters). I hate having stuff at my feet!

I think this will be a great addition to my "gear bags" I could actually see using the bowbat as a light case for quick trips to the range as it does offer protection for critical components. Some more than others....

I also see it being very functional in the tree stand. It will add some additional comfort as a back rest as well as keep those essentials readily accessible. I'm still looking at Game Gear's Leech as more of a saddle bag when I am backpacking my lock on in and out.

IMO, One can never have enough gear bags! :)

Looks like a great gear bag. I'm going to pick up a Tailhook myself. I like the accessibility to your bow if needed.

Damn heckler you dont play do ya!

I like the fact that all i have to do during bow season is just grab this pack and go. before with my old case i had to pull out my bow case, get my bow out put my quiver on. put my bowcase back in my truck. get my gear bag out. With this carry case all i got to do is grab and go!

I'm not saying that the bag itself is really loud... I'm saying that by the time you get it positioned on the tree how you want it it gets to be a bit too much noise. but there is always the possibility that i just dont know what the heck im doing!

I bought this 2 years ago and it's awesome for a long one week hunt that you can pack everything into. But I tried loading it up and walking a mile into a stand and just bout died trying to pull it up to my stand and then trying to open it in the dark. Total bad option to replace it for a fanny pac. Keep the fanny for your walk in hunts and use the bowbat for trips a field. I hunt ajoining farmlands and hopping fence lines and going under some, it's a real test for the bowbat. It works but you'll be more happy with a Badlands Fanny. Mine sit's in the back room waiting for my week long trips. Greatly made and thought out,you can really load them up. Has it's place and purpose but not for your every day hunting replacement of a Fanny Pac. Good luck with yours!

I have thought about buying one of these for the past 2 years, but I have never pulled the trigger. Maybe this year will be the year

Great feedback! I appreciate it. I have used the BowBat a total of three times so far. All ground blind hunting... and it has both met and exceeded my expectations. I could really see where other say it would be a real bugger setting it up in a tree before day light no less. I think with the right process in place it should be great. I plan to actually remove my bow from the case before I hoist it up to the stand. That way I can hang my bow and not have to worry about un-packing first thing....

I do think you are right on as each gear bag works better in different scenarios. That's why its great to have different options! The more gear bags the merrier!
