At 515 pm had 50-60 turkeys at 100 yards for 15 minutes. Just had doe and 2 fawns as close as 23 yards. Let them walk.

Same ground blind this morning and saw two does and a couple dozen turkeys. Nothing close enough to shoot. Try another stand afternoon.

In early on ground blind again this afternoon. Expecting rain and storms . If bad I have to get out quick or be stuck this side of creek until weather drys!

Saw a bunch of turkey out of range and a couple fawns.

Afternoon hunt had front move through with winds. Finally got out of blind and put a stalk on some turkeys. Covered about a quarter mile without spooking turkeys. Finally, closed gap and turkeys were at 30 yards, but on other side of the creek...turkeys win again!

Trying to get a turkey tonight. Using hay bales as ground blind closer to where I've consistently seen turkeys,

Lost my phone for about 24 hours. Last night hay bales were right choice, but my first shot with a bow was a miss, just over the turkey's back. I guessed 25 yards and was about 19 actually. Live and learn.

This morning was wasted looking for my phone. On stand late after helping my outfitter buddy put out about 8 stands on a new piece of property. Got to see a big bushy coyote at 20 yards, but he picked the one route that did not give me a shot...Wiley coyote! Two days left this trip. Can possibly make a late Nov or early December trip if I strike out.

Have been unable to post. Bad run of luck last few days. Very bummed right now. Put an arrow in a doe at 6 pm tonight and unable to find any blood. I think I may have hot her in the shoulder blade. Loud thwack. She high kicked and ran off with much of the arrow sticking out the side it went in. Broadside 20 yards and within self imposed limits for shot. Will try in the morning, but so many yotes here I may have nothing left if I find her.

Silverflickr, I was planning on leaving tomorrow am, but will spend at least 2 more hours at first light looking for her. Will be back early Dec. I have not figured out how to pm via tapatalk.

Day has included a dead battery after morning hunt and a touch of skunk spray on way in this morning, one way to use cover scent. The wounded doe on top of everything else has made for a pretty bad day. Hope I find her in the morning.

Yesterday hung last stands for buddy and sat evening in the wind with no game seen. There are turkeys in every crop field. Wow! Saw one big heavy horned 8 pt while hanging the stands. One 8 pt on trailcam.

Spent 2 more hours looking this morning. No sign of any kind. Very depressed about not finding her. Looked like such a good shot and sounded great?! Packed up and drove 878 miles to TN to visit family before going home to Fl on Sunday. Very long day. Will hunt my Fl and Al leases starting next week and will shoot the bow daily on my 3d targets.
