I just got myself a climbing stick; the Comfort Zone 16'. I normally wear the backpack, and carry my weapon (gun or bow) in one hand, and my hang-on treestand in the other. I use screw in tree steps that I pack out in my bag.
How do you stick users carry in your stuff? I know the Lone Wolf sticks attach to the stand, but they're out of my price range.

Are you hunting private land? Why are you carrying screw in steps with you? I cant imaging putting them in and out everytime if that is what you are doing.

I'm hunting gov't owned land and treesteps are allowed. I used treesteps when I was in my 20's, then I got away from hunting for a while. I'm 44 now, and tried to use the steps again. First time out I was sweatin buckshot. This is why I'm trying to use a stick.

I use several kinds of stands but when I use a hang on other than my LW I put straps on it and wear it like a back pack with my sticks held on to it with the ratchet strap. I attach my pack to it with bungee cords and carry my bow in my hand. It all works well.

Have you looked into the straps the LW makes to hold the sticks and stands together? I have a pair for my LW hang on and sticks and its really nice keeps everything really tight. Im going to be buying a bigger pair for my climber soon.

I use the straps to hold the sticks together and then put the "bundle" of sticks on the stand and use the ratchet strap that I use on the tree stand. That's when I use some of the cheaper stands I have. With the LW stand I use all the straps that come with it. The strap for the first set of LW sticks I had actually broke (buckle) when I cinched it up and the replacement strap tore where the screw that attaches it to the stick goes. I still use them but keep a bungee in my pack just in case.

I got an old back pack from a guy at work and cut the straps off. I attached them to an old stand for public land hunting. Bought a big fanny pack that I put all my ratchet straps in. I stack climbing sticks together and use a strap to hold them together. Just wear stand like back pack and carry bow/gun in one hand and bundle of sticks in the other

Some sticks are really designed to set up and leave all year, some are set up for mobility. If I were you I would get a set of LW steps along with a good hang on and you will be more mobile. The comfort zone won't be very comfortable for putting up and taking down every time you hunt. Sorry, probably not the answer you wanted to hear.

I've had those Comfort Zone sticks. Not very mobile. I used the straps that come with them to hold them together but saved one. That one I hooked onto each end of the bundled sticks and used it as a strap, sort of like I was carrying a dufflebag over my shoulder.

I left them up, I could not imagine carrying those things in and out each time.

Thanks for all the replys so far. I figured for $35, I couldn't go wrong. Actually, I had a $30 rewards points certificate and got it for $5 and change.

I've been playing with my set up and came up with strapping my bow to my backpack and carrying the stand and sticks in with my hands. Or I could strap the stand to my backpack and carry my bow and sticks.

Take a bungee cord and hook it to your backpack. My backpack has all kinds of loops for attaching gear.
