No, a homer would have said we were better, ya'll just scored more. Or you guys are no good, you just got lucky that day etc...I made an honest assesment that i described above to Cooter. We had the game in control, and started playing against what got us ahead, and for what worked in your favor. I even gave your team the compliment to end the statement...
LMAO........I'll be willing to bet that everyone that posted in this thread WISHED their team was 13-1......NUFF SAID!
Its funny with one loss all of the sudden they are not being talked about as crowning them the trophy automatically. They separated themselves SO much with this run they went on. Now they came back to the pack. Heck people are talking about Brees or Manning as a viable favorite for the MVP. 3 days ago Rodgers had his name already engraved on it. Its just interesting how much peoples perspective changes in this league week to week.
Don't mean to hijack this thread but some people are actually saying that Manning should be MVP this year, based on the obvious difference his contribution makes to his team. Personally I think this is horsecrap, the P at the end of MVP stands for Player, it's not MV"injured"P.
I'm not sure I agree with this. IMO the two best teams in the NFL right now are Packers and NO...the Niners are no slouch either with that tough defense. If I had to bet which conference would win the SB I would pick the NFC.
Now this is a real Packer fan. http://packersnews.greenbaypressgazette.com/article/20111220/GPG0101/312210028
That is just nuts. When my wife was a probabtion officer I could not believe the calls she got reporting one of her offenders on a domestic violence report after a Packer loss.
Eli for MVP? Based on what? His team is 7-7 and his numbers are decent but not even in the same hemisphere as Rogers, Brady, and Brees. He has had a nice season...but best player in the league? No
Can't believe I missed this thread. I guess 13 hour days/6 days a week will do that. Many things went the way for the Chiefs on Sunday. Packers were without their #1 receiver and had 2 starting lineman get hurt. Combine that with Tamba Hali going against a 3rd string tackle, great corner play, new coach, new qb, playing at Arrowhead....it had all the arrows pointing towards the Chiefs. IMO the Saints are the team to beat in the NFC.
The road to the super bowl goes through GB and the Saints are BAD outside Just saying :D The 49ers have a better chance but still not that good of one. If the Eagles sneak in the playoffs it could be bad news for the NFC as it appears they are figuring it out finally. I still see the Packers as the team to beat
I agree, but he is pretty much the sole reason the Giants are even in playoff contention. He throws his team on his back and wins games in the 4th quarter. Most valueable player to a team? Maybe. Id still give the vote to Rodgers, but it's funny how the talk changes due to ONE loss by GB
Every single team in the NFL wished they didn't have injuries to key players at some point. And every single team has a key injury about every week. Packers if anything have been lucky this year that their core group hasn't suffered any to speak of. Also a new qb/new coach would bring up a red flag for a recipe for disaster going up against that Packers more than a bonus. The Chiefs suck this year and had no business beating green bay no matter where they were playing.
I will agree usually a new coach/qb would spell disaster but these players really rally around Romeo Crennel. It was pretty obvious when Haley continued playing Palko, he checked out for the Chiefs. Palko wasn't even active Sunday. Lets not forget that before Ortons injury last year with the Donkeys, he was on pace to break the passing yards record. He can play and displayed that by throwing for 300 yds. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using Tapatalk
I have to disagree there. Losing Collins early was huge, changes a lot of what we did on D last year. Losing Clifton has been a problem all year.
