Nice to see a couple guys #4 and #69 that know how to skin a buck and run a trot line play huge on the big stage! Several players made big time plays last night on both sides of the ball. I can't wait to watch the rematch in Lambeau.

That game was not the Vikings versus the Pack.

That was Brett Favre versus the Pack and anyone else who doubted him.

Wow.. did he impress the world too. Wow.

If he is Jesus, he just picked up the stone from his tomb and threw it at the Pack. I hope they go undefeated and win the Super Bowl by 40.

    Doubtful..

But the more i think about it, look at how GOOD the Vikings are!

    Awesome O-line
    Best D-Line
    Best DE in the NFL
    Best 1-2 Running back punch
    Best RB in the NFL
    Good Secondary
    Great Special Teams
    Brett Favre as QB

The only weakness i see is the receivers, but they arnt shabby, and Brett has never has never really had a Randy Moss caliper receiver...

This team can easily win 12-13 games....

Didn't say I thought they would.:) It would just make my day.:D I am a fan of no team. I wasn't really a fan of much in the NFL, until the second coming.

Dude how do you think Peakrut and I feel Packer fans for 30+ years. Hating the Vike for just as long. I'm glad Brett smoked them and I hope they fire Ted.

See... it's stuff like this that I dont' get. Impress the world? Pretty broad statement. He threw for 270 and 3 touchdowns. Good game yes. I won't take that away from him. Worthy of an ESPY or building a statue of him in the middle of Minnesota? Not hardly. Good God this Favre thing is making me sick. And the funny thing is I like the dude. I have nothing against him. I didnt' even mind his waffling about playing or not. But give me a break tell it like it is. Jared Allen impressed the world if anything.

I would have to say Deanna Favre inpresses me with everything she has done to beat breast cancer and also raise awareness. That right there is was Green Bay and the state of Wisconsin will miss.

I hated Favre his entire Packer career and wasn't sure about him joining the Vikings. But Monday night was incredible. Think about the circumstances...a guy almost 40 years old....who missed training camp...still learning to play with his receivers....fired the ball around with amazing velocity and precision on an enormously pressure packed stage. Nobody said anything about building a friggin statue of him....but that was much more than a "good' game he played...it was near perfect...far surpassing my expectations. This is the same guy that many thought (just a few weeks ago) was incapable of playing in the NFL anymore. He currently sits with the 3rd highest QB rating in the league and has improved each week. But hey..it's no big deal.

If you want to talk about over hyped players...how about Mark Sanchez? Everytime he throws for 175 yards and a touchdown people are ready to put him into the Hall of Fame.

Sterling Sharpe (hall of famer), Robert Brooks, Andre Rison, Mark Clayton (hall of famer), Antonio Freeman, Donald Driver... add in Kieth Jackson (hall of famer) if you don't care to include TE's...

all of which I consider to be of equal caliber to Randy Moss... and in many respects, BETTER...

I think after 17 years he should be able to handle the "pressure packed" stage. Learning the system and recievers? Blah blah blah blah.... it's the exact same offensive system he's been running for 16 years. He could probably coach it better than the offensive coordinator. No miracle there IMO.

Don't put words in my mouth...I didn't say anything about learning the offense. Qb's and receivers learning each other’s tendencies and reads is much different that just knowing a play book. If you don't realize that then you don't know much about the game.

If Favre was playing for the Packers and Rodgers was playing for the Vikings who wins that game and are the stats that much different? Let's see how much you know about the game.

So now you want to talk about hypothetical situations rather than what actually happened? I'm out of here.

That's what I figured. He doesn't shine quite as bright with the hypothetical situation does he?

Dude you got me...Favre would probably not be very successfull playing for the Packers.:rolleyes:

    Are you for real?

Favre has had one losing season in his entire career. Rodgers is 1 for 1.
