PA Shed Hunting

Haven't gone out. I've never shed hunted before. However, our new property seemed to have a lot of bucks early spring. So I'm hoping they're venturing back over (we're surrounded by farm land). I'm going to go look for tracks and get an idea in this snow - then will go out searching once we get some melting going on.

Snows melting finally!!!!!!!!!!

 

Starting to melt here. It's about a foot deep on most of my trail, so I am waiting. With this rain today/tomorrow they're calling for - I'm hoping to get behind my house Monday after work.

 

There are antlers on the ground in SW PA. I found 3 so far since the snow has melted, time to put the miles on!

 

slowly melting here. the rain tonight will help. got out today for a couple of hours and came up with nothing. found excellent bedding areas. after snow melts I'm going back to check again. hope to get out tomorrow.

 

finally found 2 today. was a lot of work just had to change my looking style and locations a bit. to see pics I have them posted in the shed hunting forum
