Our girls are quiet and well behaved. But some parents seem to feel their children should have the right to annoy other people wherever they are. Some parents even think it's cute evidently. I have no problem with a restaurant barring kids for the benefit of patrons who want to enjoy a peaceful, quiet meal. Everyone's precious little lamb is not necessarily a precious little lamb
SOOOOOOOOO true ...... and most parents can't see it or they blame it on ADD. ADHD, etc .... like Gary said ... it all has to do with parenting
My wife and I parent as best as we can on a daily basis. That being said, there are times when kids are going to be kids and misbehave in public places.
Because someone else chooses to violate my fresh air, I have to eat somewhere else Being only 20% percent of the population smoke who cares, but bars should be open. I have a life and no need to go to the bar, but I should be able to go enjoy a dinner with my family and not have to worry about choking to death.
There was a restaurant not far from here, that "recently" did not allow black people, or to this day people with any piercings other than ears... Private business... So they can do that right? I'm really just asking, I've never ate there, never plan too, but if you can ban kids, could that same restaurant ban blacks, whites, asian, tatoo'd/pierced people, or people with kids, people that are too yound, too old, where does it stop? Seems I don't quite understand a "private" public place...
I personally don't care if they discriminate at a restaurant based on anything. Race, age, sex. Hell, I'd be okay if they told me I was too tall, white and poor to eat some place. I'd just go spend my money somewhere else. I still think the misbehaving kid thing is relatively new. I can remember being well versed in the way of sit the **** down and shut the **** up at a very young age. My Dad's side of the family (not including my dad) was of the mindset that a child should be seen and not heard. We were never invited to the adult table to play cards until we were around 16-18. Even then, it was really dependent on whether they needed another body to fill a seat or not. I look at my brother, though, who's only seven years younger than me and I don't think he behaved himself for the first 12 years of his life. As to the smoking ban, I have no problem with it whatsoever. I enjoy a good cigar now and then, so I'm not an abstainer and I still agree with the ban on public places. Even though bar and restaurant owners were concerned about how their businesses would fair, after the ban they found it had no significant impact on their bottom line. Smokers are going to smoke, whether they have to do it inside or outside. As to the farting issue, this is one of those things where I'd think the Southern folks on here would be ahead of the game. The Southern guys I know up North here are always complaining about how rude, ill-mannered and un-neighborly us Northerners are. Though, now that I think about it, I've seen Southern girls more willing to pee outside the northern ones. Hang on, switch that again, I've seen way too many girls in the city peeing in the gutter for that to be true.
Shoot away!! You might find out smoking isn't the rudest behavior I have if you miss. I would be harsh. I am all for banning smoking in bars, restaurants, places of business, public or private. Doesn't bother me a bit. I don't smoke in my home or anyone else's. I won't get in a non smokers vehicle and light up. I can contain my rude behavior and do take it outside. I won't deny smoking is a disgusting habit. Even rude. Hell make smoking illegal. Be the best thing for me. Tim
I for one am tired of the PC bullcrap. Anyone against this private business making its own rules needs to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror. If you do not like it, do not shop at that business. Real simple. I for one could care less about this silly little business.
