I was wondering if any PA guys have sold any guns to private parties. I have a single shot 12g (no clue whose name its in, a customer gave it to my grandfather who gave it to me years ago) and a .17hmr. I didn't know if I just make up a bill of sale of some kind, or do I take them to a gun shop and have it transferred to the buyers name or what. Was hoping someone here would know before I try to read legal writing...that's never easy to figure out lol.
For the shotgun, you wouldn't have to do anything other than a bill of sale if you choose. I believe the rifle would be the same but the best thing to do is call your local gun shop. They should know for sure.
If I knew more about shipping something like that and the rules behind it I prob would for you Cole. Don't think it would be worth the money for all that though. It's hardly used, but used. With shipping and anything else on the asking price, it'll come close to the price of a new one. Just a savage 93, nothing to fancy. The crows stopped landing in the field, which is the only reason I bought it (22 didn't have enough range) so its just collection dust.
No worries man, I wasn't being serious (about the shipping, I wouldn't mind having one). I'm looking for a close range bobcat gun so I can reduce the pelt damage. On a side note, is that gun pretty accurate and all that? Or would you buy a different one next time?
100 yards or less its great. As long as there's no wind I can shoot around an inch at 100 yards. Maybe a bit bigger but not much. But at 150 I'm more like 2.5" and 4-5" at 200 yards. If I get another I want either a semi auto .17 or a real good, thumbhole stock, heavy barrel, all that stuff. The acutrigger is real nice for a cheaper, out of the box gun. Scope on it is pretty decent as well. I'd recommend it, I just won't a bit better when the time comes to get another.
Come get it! Come out in the spring, bring ur fair skinned brothers and well go catch some fish! Then u can buy a gun n head home. Sounds like a damn good trip to me!
Long guns, (rifles & shot guns) can be sold face to face no transfer. A handgun must be taken to a shopt for the background check & transfer papers.
