What would you game plan be for tagging a buck in the late season? I was thinking about food sources but they are highly nocturnal so that wouldn't do much good. I also know that they bed close to food sources but how would I locate bedding sources and such? Basically I need to know what your plan would be if you were in my shoes. Thanks so much for the help

I plan on hunting a travel route to the only food sources I got. I don't believe that I have any bucks bedding my property.

If you get a good cold front to move in, even in PA, they might be moving early (i.e. getting to the food sources earlier). Late season is all about food, and in my area, there is still plenty of standing corn. The farmers around here got a late start with the combines, so all of the corn on our property is still standing. If it would still be standing by late season, I would be still concentrating around these areas, and especially the first few days after being picked. Having that exposed corn lying on top of a few inches of snow will make it easy picking, and they WILL flock to this area.

I had been having a similar issue here in North MO. I just figured out which food sources they were using mostly (standing corn here) and how they were coming into it. Then I just set up in the cover before they get to the food source and hunt that staging area. (About 50 - 80 yards off of the food source for my set up) I have been seeing deer every sit this late season since I made this move and passed a 115" er Sun morning. That's what has worked for me here.
