Harrisburg Pa here. Rookie hunter too. This coming season will be my first hunt ever. Looking forward to putting some meat in freezer (hopefully). If anyone knows of some decent places to hunt state owned or private that are a reasonable distance from Hbg.I would be grateful for the information.

Sounds very nice PH. Id say your right...a very nice size!

We had trespassers that hunted our spot and blew our gobblers out. Birds had been same spot last 3 years!

Just want too say hello too all. I am relatively new too this site and still finding new things.I am from pa and lived here since 85 after being born and raised part of my younger life in New York. Both places planted the seed of my bow hunting .

Taking a week off in nov to hunt the rut in PA, we own a camp in clearfeild county, it seems every year we go down there , weather it be the first or second week in November, we never hit the chase/ seeking, rut at the rut time , just wondering what u boys from PA think what week would be best to hunt first or second ? Thx boys and good luck this year
