I just thought I would let my fellow PA hunters know that the 2015/2016 licenses are available as of today. Less than $40 for a general license and archery stamp and $6.70 per doe tag. Inexpensive for the amount of time I get in the woods in return and includes a buck tag, fall and spring turkey tags and plenty of small game hunting opportunities. First round for Resident doe tag applications is July 13th and for NR it is July 27th

I always buy mine online the day they come available in PA. For some reason in Ohio I wait until the end of summer LOL (those were available in February). But I got my PA license yesterday. I will put in for my normal 2 anterless tags; one in 2C and one in 2B like every year.

It is...I've been so busy haven't even put cameras up. Heck, I haven't even shot my bow a lot. If I blink a few more times it's going to be bow season!

Not a PA resident, but have a spot I am now allowed to hunt out in Bucks County and hopping I can get out there a few times...non-resident tags reasonable?

Non-resident hunting license is ~$100 and non-resident archery tag is ~$26 last time I checked for a friend. I am not sure about non-resident antlerless tags.

get blinking!!!!! doe licenses in my units are cut by 5000 in 2f an cut by 1000 in 1b. I liked it when they harvested a lot of does. it made the rut hunting much more exciting.

That's just a bad idea, IMO. Too many does are being taken in my area. I am so thankful it is one week buck and then the combined second week.

ETA - the change for rifle (bow season is the same) - but rifle kills off our herd.

I am glad I hunt Maryland now.. tag is about $45 with bow stamp, but 8 doe tags/unlimited does in some counties and that comes with my hunting license. Good luck to everyone on the upcoming season.

first week of rifle is buck only then second week is buck and doe combined. less does = better rut activity plain and simple.

I'm sure if doe tags go over the counter they will still have a cap on number of tags sold per unit. and when they are sold out that will be it for over the counter for the year. so the day licenses go on sale stores will have waiting lines to buy licenses when they go on sale. going to create a lot of confusion IMO

TC is correct. I think it'll be great. I know a lot of rifle hunters who shoot first doe they see, even if first thing in morning (opening day).

I don't think doe tags should be OTC...at least not until population increases. Then if/when that happens, then drastically limit amount sold.
