She just finished another hour long interview with the head coach. No word yet but the possibility of the job being offered is strengthening. I really like the guy as he is a family man and a good mentor. I like the opportunity for my wife. BUT it would be tough on our family for a bit, but I am confident my kids are resilient and well balanced. I actually liked the area better than where I live as it is slower paced and has more outdoor stuff. My current county s the 2nd largest in VA and one of the fastest growing counties in the United States. I am just done with all the chaos, yet I love my job.....tis life Michael. It ain't easy.

Not a bad D-II bball stadium. In fact, the new locker rooms are as about as good as you will find in any D-II school in the country.

I think we are on collision course with moving asap. My entire early life I moved about a million times because my dad was in the military. I've lived in my current location going on 14 years so this is going to be a big change if it happens. Oh well, life changes.

    Job offered, job accepted.

I've been dealing with my 4 year old who has been crying for 10 minutes because she is scared of the move. Ripping my heart out. The pace of life just picked up and I will have to work on the house non-stop for the next month to get it into rental shape.

Hey congrats Brett, hope the move goes well. The kids will adjust but it will be hard at first, I remember moving when I was a kid and changing schools :( Now why dont you move to the REAL Indiana ? :)

Congrats!!! Have you looked at departments in the area??

ps- you realize this could allow us to hunt together more than once a decade, right? :fro:

Josh, I am staying put right now in my department. This could be a one to two year "move" and I don't want to let a good job go if we are moving right back. She has a lot of contacts here in the area and has been deep on many D1 coaching opportunities, yet the deciding factor in many of them is that she had no college coaching/recruiting experience...now she will be armed with those things and may be hired back in the DC area.

And yes I do realize we will be hunting together as the trip isn't that far for me. :) I will hunt in Ohio then just stay in PA for the rest of my hunting vacation and hunt PA/OH instead of hunting VA. That allows me about 10 days with my family to hunt/hang out.
