Hi Everyone, I just got done editing and posting my latest video on my YouTube channel. I was able to self-film a hunt that I will remember forever. My Dad and I had a feeling that the weekend of November 3rd and 4th would be a great time to see some good rutting activity so we planned to be in the woods as much as we could. It Paid Off! I harvested the Biggest Buck of my life and was able to share the preparation and recovery with my Dad and Brother-in-law. The buck was taken from Venango County in Pennsylvania. I am truly Blessed and humble by the entire experience and wanted to share it. It was not my greatest shot placement, but I was fortunate to be able to find the deer easily and was able to gain knowledge for future experiences. I hope that you enjoy the hunt and I would really appreciate the sharing of the video and a thumbs up on YouTube if you liked what you see. If your interested in seeing more of my videos, feel free to check out my channel and Subscribe for future content. Below is the link to the YouTube video… Thanks, Joe
Great buck! Good job on the video also. I do some trout fishing in Venango county (Cranberry/President), beautiful area.
not far from me, 20 min to Venango co. Col Drake is Crawford Co - Rainbow Archery Club is Venango Co. Near Franklin??? Congrats on a nice buck
I am normally very patient when waiting for a good shot. In this case I let the situation get the best of me. The encounter happened so fast and I was worried about him getting behind me where it was thick and I would have missed the opportunity to shoot. It wasn’t until after I reviewed my footage that I realized that the angle was bad. Lessons learned! I was lucky this time.
I always get those two confused. my bad. both places were fun to shoot at. hoping to take my son this year. santa just bought him a bear little brave for Christmas. hoping he can draw a 35# pull by the time I let him go hunting. got a few years to go! lol
Nice video and nice buck! I always appreciate when people make self-filmed videos but I don't see myself making videos anytime soon. It's a whole other difficulty level I'm not ready for! Your explanation of how occupied you were at the moment the deer first stepped out is my biggest fear... I always sit with my bow in my lap (or sit bar of my summit climber). hogs, get a tree arm to hold your bow. never sit with it on your lap. too much movement to get it vertical.
